Received ophthalmology training at the Oxford Eye Hospital from 1997 to 2001. One of the few ophthalmologists in Malaysia to receive the Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training (CSST) from the General Medical Council, London, UK.
Professor Dr Chua is highly passionate about training other eye doctors, and has published numerous papers and books for trainee doctors.
He has a special interest in eyelid surgery, and is also highly proficient in the treatment of cataract, glaucoma, strabismus, corneal graft.
